The Curriculum at Primrose Lane Primary School
Tell me and I forget, Teach me and I remember, involve me and I learn.
At Primrose all the staff work hard to design the curriculum in order to recognise children’s prior learning to enable them to build on what they already know and can do.
We believe that children learn best when they are enjoying what they are doing and therefore we aim to keep learning interesting by adhering to our policy of ‘Make, Do and Remember’. We provide children with engaging activities where they are fully immersed in ‘hands on’ activities whilst also gaining the necessary skills to be confident readers, writers and mathematics.
We regularly monitor our curriculum delivery by ensuring that children are making good progress. We evidence the children’s learning through use of floor books, knowledge harvests, working walls and in our displays.
