Pupil Premium funding

The Pupil Premium Grant is funding provided to schools which is additional to main school funding.  It is allocated according to the number of pupils on-roll who have been eligible for free school meals (FSM) within the last 6 years.  Pupil Premium payments are also allocated to children of service families and pupils who are ‘Looked After’ (in care) or adopted.

It is for schools to decide how the Pupil Premium is spent, since they are best placed to assess what additional provision should be madeIMG_1001.JPG for the individual pupils within their responsibility.

Schools are to be held accountable for how they have used the additional funding to support pupils from low-income families.

Our Pupil Premium Governor is Mr Phil Noone who works effectively together with staff at Primrose Lane Primary School to ensure that this grant is utilised to best meet the needs of our Pupil Premium Children.

At Primrose Lane Primary School we have focused the use of Pupil Premium funding to diminish attainment differences and ensure that all of our children make the best possible progress with their learning.
